the daily garb: vinty-ish.

Hello! I'm sorry I haven't posted in so long, I have been SO busy with school. It has been so much fun though, it's worth having to wake up at 6AM, I absolutely LOVE it :)  so far I've learned many different types of hand stitches, as well as how to sew different pockets and zippers! It's a lot harder than you think, but so much fun, I love being able to use my creativity multiple hours, every day.  And on Friday we have Free Fridays, where we can do whatever we want that involves sowing, so I brought in an old vintage looking dress I thrifted a couple weeks ago and fixed it all up!  It was down to my ankles, so I high-lowed it (is that a term?...it should be these days), shortened the sleeves, and am in the process of finishing it! But I am really excited, I brought my camera into class so I can share before and afters on the blog of what my friends and I are making!

So, I've been absent for a while, but the good news is I have a ton of outfits posts, I've taken pictures of my outfit I've worn to class every day, but haven't had the chance to edit them until now, so hopefully this week I'll be able to post more often!  It's such much fun going to fashion school because every one wears whatever the heck they want every day. I feel like I have so much more freedom to wear what I want to and to try new things, because that's what everyone else is doing.  I don't feel like I'm being judged if I wear something a little different, I feel encouraged to be different and be myself..is that weird?? Whatever, I just love it! :)
Well anyways, here's the daily garb: vinty-ish (as in vintage-ish...vinty just sounded cooler haha)
I had decided to wear this the night before class, not realizing how short and slightly see-through it was, so as I ran out the door (literally. I was walking out the door) I realized I needed something under it, so I pulled this out of my closet, through it on, checked the mirror, and hoped it look alright.  Well it did, I don't know why I didn't think of layering it under before, it matched so perfectly and added an even more {vinty-ish} touch to the look! And the second I walked into class, someone told me that I should work at Urban Outfitter because my style fit perfectly...AKA BIGGEST COMPLIMENT EVER, Urbans my FAVORITE store! (other than Free People obvzzz, but I count that as a brand since I've never actually been to the store)...so yeah.
Annnnd here's how I wore my hair, I felt this name suited it nicely because it really is just jumbled up there.  If I have time this week I'll do a post on how to do the jumbled braid bun because it's SO easy and a great way to control a bad-hair-day-to-be.  I would really like to be more consistent on my blog, where I post everyday, and do certain posts on certain days...like wednesdays are hair days or something..and have a craft day..idk it's still in the works but I'll get there someday! :)

Oh, and I'm sure you noticed the new name and look of the former FashionBirthmark.  I just really wasnt feelin' that name, or the look before, and Kai-leidoscope just popped into my head one day and I really like it, I hope you do too!  Oh I feel like I've been gone forever, there's too much to share, and I don't want to write so much in one post, I'm sure it's not nearly as entertaining for you all as it is for me haha so I'll be done now.. :)
